Z tego 94% kosztów inwestycji pokryją środki zewnętrzne: 45% to bezzwrotna dotacja z Narodowego Funduszu Ochrony Środowiska i Gospodarki Wodnej, a 48,9% to niskoprocentowa pożyczka.

Silesia is taking another step toward the green transition. One of the region’s cities has secured nearly PLN 100 million to build a modern biogas plant as part of the Green Energy Center project. The investment—the majority of which will be funded by external sources—is set to become a pillar of the local circular economy and a symbol of the region’s ecological transformation.
Rybnik has received nearly PLN 100 million for the construction of a biogas plant as part of the Green Energy Center initiative. External funds will cover 94% of the investment costs: 45% will come from a non-repayable grant provided by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, while 48.9% will be covered by a low-interest loan. The municipal company Centrum Zielonej Energii (CZE) will cover the remaining 6.1%.
The biogas plant is slated for construction on Sportowa Street in Rybnik’s Niedobczyce district, on the site of a reclaimed spoil tip. According to the city and the Green Energy Center (CZE) company, the location meets all technical, access, and environmental requirements and is situated at a safe distance from residential areas.
