We Francji wstrzymano pracę trzech reaktorów jądrowych z powodu spadku przepływu wód wywołanego falą upałów.
W poniedziałek we wczesnych godzinach popołudniowych wszystkie trzy reaktory pozostawały wyłączone.

Operations at three nuclear reactors in France have been suspended due to a drop in water flow caused by a heatwave.
Two reactors at the Chooz nuclear power plant in the Ardennes were taken offline—Reactor No. 2 has been in standby mode since July 11, and Reactor No. 1 since Saturday evening—”to comply with the provisions of the French-Belgian agreement of September 8, 1998, regarding the management of the Meuse River’s waters,” EDF explained.
At the Cattenom plant in the Moselle department, one reactor was also shut down as a precaution overnight from Friday to Saturday due to a drop in the flow of the Moselle River. As of early Monday afternoon, all three reactors remained offline.

The share of renewable energy rose to 41.2%—crossing the 40% threshold for the first time—with wind and solar power accounting for 24.6% of the total. The combined share of wind and solar energy has increased from 9.7% in 2020.
The remainder of the energy mix is made up of power generated from natural gas and nuclear plants. Despite coal’s declining share, analysts predict that China may consume more coal this year than last due to rapidly rising energy demand.
